This week we are in Moelv in Norway. We play Braastad Invitational at Mjøsen Golfklubb.
Braastad is a Cognac brand. In 1911, Sverre Braastad moved from Gjøvik in Norway to Cognac in France. He married Edith Rousseau in 1913 who was the daughter of the Cognac-house Tiffon. This is the house that changed the name to Braastad. The first Pro on Mjøsen is also a Braastad, which is the reason for the sponsorship of this weeks tournament.
Mjøsen Golfklubb opened in 1994 with a 9 hole course. In 2001 the course was extended to 18 holes. Several changes has been made through the years. The version we are playing are the one from 2001 with all of the features as it was.
Unfortunately it was not possible to add Out of Bounds on this course (it made the file size too big) - so keep in mind that this course is much tougher with many out of bounds.

Okay start to the tournament, could have been better, and could have been worse. A few missed short putts stings a bit, but other than that it was a good performance. Very nice start with the eagle on the first.  |

Could not putt in round 2, better in round 3 - but still not confident on the putts so far this week. Very nice birdie on the 5th which I think will take some shots on the field. Making some big mistakes on the 2nd both these rounds.  |

Much better and confident with the putter in the fourth round. Even par total, and that is totaly fine for me on the Master Tour, and on a course I know every inch of after almost 25 years of playing here (started to play here in 1997).  |

I was -10 in the 4th round and got stupid. I tried to cut the corner on a dogleg left. I ended up deep in the forest and scored a quad bogey on the hole. I finished the tournament at -4. The course was great and played tough. Especially in the high winds in R2. Hard to keep it in the fairway even with low winds lol.  |

I think I will be giving this week a miss. For some reason my yardage book is so dark I can't make anything out, I ended up going in water twice when I wasn't aware it was even there. Also the greens surrounded by trees are impossible to read because of the bright sun and shadows. I don't know why the odd course throws up these issues.

Had a steady -7 to start....pretty short off the Rd1 tees and soft conditions so my sort of course. Putting was ok, nothing speccy.
-10 in Rd2 with 2 eagles and got a handle on the greens.
-5 in Rd3, a bit wobbly but hung in there.
-2 in Rd4, putting deserted me and 3 late bogies on the longer finishing holes after some wayward driving and poor pitching.
-24 overall and will take it after a week off USE and no practice round on the course.

I have not heard of that before, and do seems strange to me. I had a look and can't find a way to adjust brightness in the game settings, but have you tried to change the brightness of your monitor/tv? Settings is morning and afternoon, and yes some greens will be in shadow but I did not find it hard to read on my computer (I also have the knowledge of this course from playing it in real so many times, so I know every break there is). |

That sounds like hole 4, that is the short sharp dogleg par 4 that is reachable over the forest. That is a risky shot, water in back, and you need to be precise. I think I tried it once or twice during my rounds and ended up short, but playable. I did however go for the green on the 7th every round with no real success. Big difference from Pro and Master difficulty here for me on these shots. |

Hi gents , thought I was doing OK after 27 holes on 6 under and then had terrible run dropping 7 shots in 5 holes ( keep cool ) managed birdie to finish 1 over after 2 rds fr33b1rd just behind me , any idea how you transfer your scorecards on to this page , also which 1 of you pc guys is paKalolo on xbox , fr33b1rd if u like a little sim come and join in on simulation sanctuary getting 15 20 regulars playing good group .

My scores are bad but I did improve on one important part of my game and my pitch partials are becoming better and more comfortable now, I have more of a feel of it now..
I tend to have too many blowup holes and they usually come in streaks.

This course is a joy to play for me. It's about course management and the course does punish out of position shots. My best shot over the 2 rounds was the LW pitch from all distances, saved many pars and made a few birdies. I putted very well on the slower green in round 1 with some very good long putts holed, but 2 pulled very short putts to finish 2 stroke lower than I really should have. Round 2 was a different story as the putter wasn't quite there. Had a hectic week and a funeral to go to at short notice on Thursday, hopefully I can finish my rounds 3 and 4 later today.    |

PaKaLoLo hasn't played season 3 yet, I blame the VR headset he bought a few months back  . Hopefully we might see him back sometime this season.
