Torrey Pines is owned by San Diego, and was named after the Torrey Pine that is a rare tree that grows in the wild only on the coast of San Diego and Santa Rosa island. Both the north and the south course on Torrey Pines was designed by William F. Bell. The south course was redesigned in 2001 by Rees Jones - and another redesign was done in 2019. The north course was redesigned by Tom Weiskopf in 2016.
Torrey Pines has hosted Farmers Insurance Open since the 60's using both courses. Torrey Pines also hosted the US Open in 2008 and 2021.
Farmers Insurance Open has one round on the north course, but that is problematic to do in the game (two reasons: we would have to have the first round as a separate event with a short deadline, and secondly the north course version in game is very inaccurate) so we will play all four rounds on the south course.

Tried to play too many rounds in one sitting with too many beers resulted in a poor Master Tour showing this week from me. Will try to get my Pro Tour rounds in by the end of Saturday. |

Took myself out of this tournament the other night with a woeful 75 in round 1, like rounds 2 and 3 of Master Tour the alcohol didn't do me any favours. Just played 3 very good rounds and putted really well, especially round 4 where I holed some beauties from long distances, 40% long putts holed in round 4 which is very good without grids andersnm tied your score for rounds 2 to 4   |
