Southeast of Melbourne, Australia, close to Frankston - we find the Peninsula Kingswood Country Club. This area is called the Melbourne Sandbelt and is famous for it's sandy soil and golf courses.
Kingswood Golf Club and Peninsula Country Club merged in 2013 to form the Peninsula Kingswood Country Club and has two courses - the north and the south. We will play the north course. Both clubs was formed in the early nineteen century and has seen major changes throughout the years. After the merging of the clubs, Ogilvy Clayton Cocking Mead made a complete renovation of both courses and the North course was closed from 2016 to 2018.

First round was a little of everything - eagles to double bogey. Played better compared to when I playtested the course, but someone will score low in the first round for sure

Can you tell if Master is playing better now with the new swing updates? I've read where some say it's about the same and others say there are no more flubs from the bunker and the red fasts/slows are not as penalizing now on Master.

Can you tell if Master is playing better now with the new swing updates? I've read where some say it's about the same and others say there are no more flubs from the bunker and the red fasts/slows are not as penalizing now on Master. I think master is more fun now - and the reason for that is that the edges of the zones are smoother - it is far from perfect and it still carries the same flaw in my opinion compared to a no-zone design with smooth transition from perfect center, progressive out. A grey fast gives you distance boost, where a red fast is distance loss, and the edge of the zone is narrow thin so a tiny error one way or another gives so complete different result is a design I do not like. To me at least, both in swing plane and timing, I get more left/right miss compared to earlier - and this is also true for the grey area. I do miss some on the swing-plane, and at least on putting this feel too severe to me - putting on line with your aim is not that difficult in real life in my opinion. And yes, a tiny error on the timing on splash from sand has been changed alot, from the total duff, to a more reasonable penalty as I see it. They have not fixed the penalties according to lie, so a sand lie and a heavy rough lie is still the same - you just get different lie% that I don't think is a good game design. You do get more roll out from rough though, so they have improved upon the spin out of rough - so you need to take more roll out into account when playing from rough. Deep grass and bushes are still the same sillyness, where you in real life need to take a drop, you can hit a 3 iron. These things are the same regardless of difficulties however, just some things that annoy me (in combination with the lack of lateral drop rules etc). All that said, I still like Pro better, because for my ability in the game, that represent the Tour Pro level of play the best. For others, like booze - Legend is perhaps the correct level (and my guess is those on that level are few), and for others Master is the correct level. So I think we have found a very good thing now, with Pro and Master Tour - and many are now playing both, and hopefully even more simmers will find their way here, or back.

Teed it up with the Marksman, colly for round one! Another battle until Mark threw a dart of an approach on 17. It set him up nicely for an eagle. He pulled way after i parred the hole. It also made me appreciate andersnm score even more. Also, hammers1man , can you put me back as admin on PS for the Master Tour? Thanks! R2 was a give and take affair but I'm sitting at (-13) at halfway

Whacked it around for a -7 from the ladies tees in Rd1 last night. Finished up tonight with a few reds under my belt (Riedel glasses of course) and had the tempo of a drunken sailor at times but had enough good looks on the shorter par4's and the par 5's and found good tempo on the odd occasion to knock in a -6 in Rd's 2 and 3. Had the bucket and spade out many a time...... Then had a purple patch on the front 9 in Rd4 including a 60 foot downhill slider with a 5hit load of break on the 5th for eagle. The missus was checking me out while waiting for her printing to print (as it does) and was suitably impressed. Of course I had to flex for her!! Anyway, a few late birds and I got to -9 and -28 overall, just pipping Sir Wadealot and sitting in the clubhouse with a few pints of cold Aussie ale hoping not to have to step out later for a playoff.... Cheers

All, just fyi, yesterday I decided to leave the Master Society. I created a solo society to play the PGA schedule and compare my scores against the PGA Tour players IRL. I have also decided to play on TGC Tours CC and TST.
