Totally fed up with game atm, the gap in difficulty between Pro and Master is so immense. Pro I just hit every shot straight, Master I have to have totally concentration to strike the ball well. Tbh 25 under on a tough course is not sim, it is not sim when the only challenge is putting and distance control. I hate to say this but as this society is turning to a Pro difficulty society and I am not enthusiastic about playing that way because it doesn't feel sim to me. Since this is clearly aimed at my score this week (paddy beat me by two strokes btw, and Wade has -15): -25 with two almost max rounds is quite sim in my books - Dustin Johnson won the tournament at -30 last year, though Harris English was at -19 on second, so DJ had an awesome tournament. That is just way more realistic for me, than scoring +20. And, the best players in this game has no problem beating my score with Master swing difficulty - so what is more sim about that? Take a look at TGC Tours: -33 on Merion East, with many players scoring unrealistic low scores. Not much different than how we play here - so if those players had played USE Master - you would see similar or even better scores here as well, on quite benign conditions on TPC Boston. We have different abilities with the controller. No problem with that. My skill is so bad that Pro difficulty is the correct difficulty for me, but for others - Legend would perhaps be the correct level because they are so good at moving the stick on the controller or mouse. And others might need to drop down to Pro-Am. Swing difficulty in itself is not sim or not sim - it is just a way to adjust the game to suit your ability with the game. Edit: And do not forget that Tuffguts played -24 on Master on the same tournament - so he almost beat me on Master difficulty. Is -25 not sim, but -24 is sim?

Tbh quoting scores was wrong by me but the fact that Pro feels just like TGC1 (golf on rails) shows me that it isn't for me. You actually have to hit a shocking poor shot to be punished, Anders you must know where I am coming from here also driving requires zero timing, long irons that are tough on master feel so easy to hit straight. I am sorry Pro does not feel sim golf in any way to me.

Let me an others who enjoy Pro do that, without the need to pick on our preference - and we don't pick at your preference of Master difficulty. It isn't as we have loads of players in the Pro society - it is me, paddy, simchars who play there, and Wade on PS. Charles has been accepted but has not yet played.

To be honest I am really enjoying playing both now to see how my scores compare. Just play what you enjoy!

For realistic scoring information, andersnm , hammers1man , paddyjk19 , colly Edit: Updated to include the Tour Championship results. Patrick Cantlay wins with a score of (-21). I can see both sides of the Pro vs Master debate. I wanted to see the PGA winning tournament scores, for the current 2020-2021 season. I did not have the time to average top to bottom scores for each tournament. Maybe I can do this at a later date. I did not include any match play or team play events. I had a total of 48 events throughout the season. The lowest score was last week at the BMW Championship where Patrick Cantaly shot (-27). There were two tournaments at (-25). The Plantation Course at Kapalua and TPC Craig Ranch. There were 3 scores that were the highest at (-6). They were Winged Foot 2020, Kiawah Ocean Course 2021 and Torrey Pines 2021. So the median winning score for 48 PGA events is -17 or ( -16.58333333) Everyone can draw their own conculsions. I don't see an issue for a Pro and Master Tour and let players choose what fits them best. I think players can move to one or the other based on their enjoyment and competitiveness for the game. For me, I seem to lose focus if I'm not playing Master. I don't always play great but my concentration is much better. But honestly, I have enjoyed both Pro and Master.

Here are my scores for the Pro level competition. Enjoyable, but as Wade said, I tend to lose focus when playing Pro.

The Northern Trust results A 14 stroke win and a move to the top of the rankings leaderboard for Tuffguts, drumming_guy is second and SirWade is third. Low round a 62 in round 2 by the champion.

hammers1man, Thank you for the time and effort on the leaderboard and the season results! Cheers!!Β πΊπΊπΊπΊπΊ Thanks for your participation and playing every tournament Wade π Been an up and down season with everyone first getting used to the new game which is a big step up in difficulty on master. Then the swing tinkering. I think it's a good idea to have two tours next season. Shame we have no Xbox admin any more as I do agree Pro will be competitive cross platform.
