After not being able to find good lidar data to my liking for Royal New Kent. I have decided to totally renovate Mauna Kea. MK was my first attempt at an RCR without Lidar data. In my opinion after progressing in designing somewhat, it is quite lacking. It is a very difficult course to recreate without lidar data. Tons of elevation changes. I don't have the full ambition as I did months ago designing courses. I'm trying to plug away and have this ready for the start of Season 4. That is if we have a season 4. Right now it appears very bleak.

That would be great Anders. It will give me more time to plug through the course without lidar data. It's amazing how much I prefer designing a lidar course now lol.

I've got 2 months on this course now. About 75% complete on a ground up restoration. I still have planting, cart paths, roads and a few more homes to add. I did christen it today with a HIO on the par 3 #15.

Finally! Mauna Kea Resort and G.C. is now published. Free to play for those looking for a Hawaiian vacation. When I started a few months ago, I kept telling myself I wasn't going to finish it. Doing a course (RCR) without Lidar data is just plain brutal and insane. I wanted to refurbish my first publish of Mauna Kea to try to do justice to the course. I loved it so much over the years from Links to 2K21. I did a total hand sculptured rebuild of the course from ground up. I hope you guys enjoy playing it.
I played on Pro difficulty.

Really enjoyed the updated version!
Enjoyed playing the old version too but this release shows how much you've developed as a designer, the planting has gone up a level, the sculpting is superb and I thoroughly enjoyed the game! well done!
The biggest difference is the signature 800 yard par 3! really sings as a signature hole now with the rocks etc.

Fantastic upgrade Wade! Really top notch. I am glad I did not encounter that 800 yard par 3 I scrambled well on my round, -4 with two birdies and one eagle at the 10th, and the rest par.

Love the designer community we have here, wish I was creative and part of that. Definitely some great courses coming out of USE for sure, all the more reason to dip your toes - you’ll always have people to lean on for advice and tips. Start small, pick a local course you know intimately and learn your trade, I cringe at my first few courses now (hence the Stoke park reno) but I feel I get better every course, I’m still learning new things all the time. I’ve got some great links I’ll put in a thread so members have a place to get started, we can all keep adding to it as we go along. In my view, the more designers the better this game is
