Just wanted to create a thread as I will likely create more norwegian courses in the future. Right now, I am working on Atlungstad Golf and Mjøsen Golfklubb. I started also on Kongsvingers Golfklubb, but I encountered the problem with 3d grass rendering, so I have postponed it until this issue is solved by HB. A look from the first tee on Mjøsen Golfklubb: This hole is driveable from the yellow tee. The white tee is not maintained - but I have taken liberty to renovate a bit on this course.

Another picture from Mjøsen Golfklubb. What is left to do is planting in the lower left corner and a bit of more undergrowth in parts I have left to see where I am with the plant meter after all the important planting is done, and that may very well be finished today or at least tomorrow. So expect to see a publish of this course pretty soon.

After the last patch, I have got file-size problems. Earlier, file size was so small that it was no concern. Now, it is a problem, much more so than object or plant meter. OB adds a ton of file size. Ie - I can't add any OB, which sucks. I will however publish without OB.
Mjosen Golfklubb has been published - with no OB unfortunately.

Notes on Mjosen Golfklubb for those interested: The routing has been changed back to the original front and back nine. For the amateur experience, yellow tees is the deal. The white tees are not maintained, and quite a few are extended in a realistic manner to how it could be for championships. Hole 1: OB on the field to the left. The forest to the left is lost ball in real life. Hole 2: OB all the way along the left. Hole 3: Forest to the left is marked with red, and most likely is lost ball. Hole 4: This is the original par 4. It was changed to a par 3 due to safety reasons - many players went for the green. A bell was placed down on the left side of the fairway, but not near the green. The forest area is now under construction for new housing. So this re-make is for nostalgic reasons as I really like this risk/reward hole with the narrow gap down the hill. Hole 8: OB on the left side all the way. Hole 10: The white tee has been used on previous tournaments where there was hole-in-one prize (the hole needed to have at least 160 yards to have that prize at the point). Hole 11: New white tee to get better visibility. Hole 13 and 14: New white tees. Hole 14 has OB on the left side and all the way to the green along the dogleg next to the field. Also OB to the right - and the reason for this is to make players don't take the short-cut on hole 15. This OB is only for hole 14 and not 15. Hole 17: New white tee. OB along the left side all the way Hole 18: New white tee. OB left side all the way, making the perfect tee shot really risky as you need to drive over OB to get the best landing in a punishing fairway, unless you play with a big draw.
Also - do not play this at very fast green speed - at least not all pin sets. I do not recommend to play the course on faster than default speed (152).

Very nice to invite me to play your nice course. Not so nice to demolish me out on the course, haha. Enjoyed it and will return. Next time taking a cart, hehe. Not many pensioners members at the club?

Not many pensioners members at the club? Mjøsen has actually become mostly a pensioners club. And yeah, there are some that drives buggy. Majority go with electric trolly.

Many years ago I lived in the very south of Sweden, famous for being flat. But I played a round at Rommelåsen GK and that was very hilly, not many pensioners they said. During an uphill walk, a member said “Last year and old guy died here”. 😳

My file size is 72.7 but OM and Memory are very low.

Been wanting to play Mjøsen since I saw you publish your new course Anders. Played it when I got in late last night. Find it funny that the gaming PC was the first thing I fired up Gave it a proper go just now. The one thing I really like is the layout and how the course flows with elevation changes and the land. The views in real life must be fantastic as well. Thought my first 59 was in the cards. After that front nine thought something special was gonna happen. But you know what they say about 59s?...don't mention or talk about 59s while on the course! Closest I've come to it was a 60 at Alcanada. Another great addition to RCRs! 👍

Finally got a round in on Mjosen Golfklubb. I enjoyed my round. Another Norwegian course where accuracy and a hot putter is required. I finished at +4 because I had neither of the aforementioned skills lol. Another very nice course andersnm.

Overview of Atlungstad Golf - major forests planted, but still alot of trees to be planted. You may notice I have put in water on the wet-lands on the 3rd; important for this hole.
