Thought I played really well in those very high winds my whole game was very solid, most holes into a headwind so the course plays a lot longer. Got my 1st round in before everyone else for a change. Missed a couple of birdie putts that I feel I should of holed and just the one bogey so I am very happy with the round. Very nice course colly   |

Round 1 in the very high wind at West Lancs with hammers1man . As he stated above he played very well. And I couldn't believe my eyes to be -6 after 14 holes. So I got cocky at the 15th with a 13 ft birdie putt slightly uphill and and missed the 5 footer back down. And the 18th is really tough into the wind if you miss the fairway as I did. Can't complain about that.  |

Yes, and hitting the green into the wind with a 5 wood is no cinch. I got myself a 10 footer for par but not to be. |

I said this to a fellow member of my society how do you stop a ball on the green with a 40+ mph tail wind. The answer is as much spin as you can get or land it 40 yards short of the green 😉

I struggled keeping my ball in play both rounds. Just couldn't get anything going.

Took advantage of the beautiful conditions in round 2 ,played very well ,happy with a 2 round total of 14 under 😁

Round 2 was crap. Was -6 after 13 and was just about to tap in a 1 foot par putt when my mouse got "slower". Could hardly see the putter head move so I stupidly used more force forward and missed the putt. It all unraveled from there I still think my mouse changed even if it could be my imagination. Well, played better than usual, so this anger will pass. Edit: Yes, my mouse setting WAS changed, in the middle of the round. Set to much slower movement. No wonder I cut every shot thereafter, haha. Back to normal now.  |

Back from that work trip and new gaming pc came in. Getting use to the new calibration compared to the laptop. Fairly decent R1, was on tap for a low one but missed way too many short putts for par. R2 - Feels like I'm playing with offset clubs as my misses are to the left. Again missed some short putts and couldn't get anything going on the front. At one point 10 back from wimigbg. But made a really good charge to track him down. Second guessed the speed for the eagle putt on the 16th and it just missed on the high side for the PC lead. Finished tied with Mike at -6.   |
