I have been a huge Pink Floyd fan since I heard the dark side of the moon for the first time.

Just a gem from a more underrated album which I hold in high regard - I just love the division bell; also notice how important Richard Wright is in the sound of Pink Floyd, which is pretty noticeable on this song in the middle section:

The Division bell is another great album from PF! I remember buying The Dark Side of the Moon when it came out in 1973. It's hard to believe that was almost a half century ago.

I thought I was the oldest, born 1963. Big fan of Pink Floyd as well, but sorry to say not really in to them before the last 10 years.

I can remember being on a table tennis camp and someone had just the new LP with Deep Purple and we heard Smoke on the water for the first time.

Got you both beat. Born 1957. Sat in front of the television with my parents to watch The Beatles live on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964. I first heard Smoke On The Water at a Junior High dance in 1973. The local band playing at the dance did a cover.

And if it’s true that you cut 9 minutes off your life for every pint of beer that you drink, then apparently I died sometime in 1644 according to my calculations.

If you are in for a laugh, I can recommend MacArthur Park from the Letterman show (with Will Lee and the CBS orchestra) - for anyone not familiar with this old song made by Jimmy Webb for Richard Harris (1968), it is ranked by some as "the worst song ever". But as "the worst song ever" it reached quite high on the Billboard (nr 2), and is covered by many, and reached nr 1 on Billboard by Donna Summer in 1978. 

"This is for my son, who had too much cake"
(Note on the lyrics - Jimmy Webb has stated that the lyrics are metaphore for relationship breakup that Webb had experienced).

Here is a cover from one of my favorite bands - The Neal Morse Band. I am a huge fan of Neal Morse - and for those that like Morse, I would highly recommend all from this band.

Happy new year to everyone in USE

Want to share my greatest concert experience so far with you. I was so lucky to experience these guys (except Wakeman). RIP Chris Squire, I am so fortunate to have seen you on stage. I saw Yes in the concert hall in Oslo in 2001 during this tour - and it was just amazing. Rick Wakeman could unfortunately not play due to him having a schedule that did not match. He did however play in the 2003 Tour with Yes and the symphonic orchestra, but they did not come to Norway on that Tour - so I missed that concert.

Eurovision is in the air again - or should I say, some countries like Norway has started their national semifinals and finals. In Norway, it is Melodi Grand Prix, and so far we have had two semifinals.. so I thought to share some Eurovision on you to get in great mood. Winner of the second semi-final:
