Though course in tough conditions. Had -2 in the front nine, bogey free. But could not keep it up on the back so ended at +3 in the first round.

I don't think I had 40 putts, but it sure felt like it. The 6 putt from 8 feet at the 10th made me scared. Never putted so bad in a game, IRL or seen anyone do it. Ok, that was an exaggeration. Looking forward to round 2 and an improvement.

Second round started off with fireworks. Unfortunately it dabbed off on the back nine - couple of doubious hole locations, but a costly mistake on 13th where I missed fairway but had a pitch that I left well short, so 2 shot mistake there. But, happy to beat paddyjk19 and set some pressure on those to follow

Round 1 started off well but then my tempo went crazy. I could not hit a straight shot the rest of the round. R2 picked up where I left off.

Wish the designer would have used some light rough on the course as with the bumpy fairways it was a bit unfair rolling a inch off line and having a 50% lie! I don't use light rough on some of my parkland courses but I think it's essential for humpy links courses. That said, loved playing the course and it was a great challenge!

Round 2 and paired up with Viktor Hovl..., sorry andersnm . The word had spread that he was doing very good progress and coming out of his slump. I was checking him closely so make sure he was not Peter Reed-ing. That means doing like some ghosts does now and again - hit an iron out of a bunker into thick rough and suddenly hitting the next shot from a much better lie. Kidding aside, the first 12 holes he played was maybe the best I've seen in a USE round. Especially the hot putter. I had changed all the irons and wedges and copied the clubs of short game master @pakalolo77 . Not dialed in on the half swing pitches yet, I made sure I had none of those this round. Not hot with the putter (forgot to change that club), but scored a descent 69 to hunt down @sirwade .

Paired up with Anders for the First Round at Trevose. That was a great shot on the reachable 14th that he played. Thought you had made that eagle putt as it was center cup all the way π Those were some tough conditions with those Linksland winds! That flare right miss turned into a slice after St. Annes. After some time on the range and practice was able to dial in tempo for the most part. Besides that bogey on the front was quite pleased to finish in red figures after this one.

My effort for this week on the Extra circuit. Quite pleased with that effort in the first round. Second round was a tale of so many putts/chips burning the edge of the hole, just one of those rounds.

Much better tempo in R2. Good speed on the greens and was able to take advantage of the par 5s. Kept it together with some tough par saves on the back. On 17, misjudged my approach shot from the fairway bunker and didn't select enough club and into the front water hazard. Solid pitch shot hit close saved that from being a bigger number on the scorecard. Finished at -7. Great shooting in R2 andersnm ππππ
