I joined @sirwade for my first Linksland round of 2021 & was very pleased with my opening round.The conditions were benign but the greens are trickier than they look at Kingsbarns.I am sure Wade will bounce back in the 2nd round,maybe with a new putter 😉.I definitely felt for you on the greens Wade ,just one of those days.

RD1 at Kingsbarns in. Another great Linksland course this week. Solid First Round from wimigbg who I was trying to keep up with on the PC Leaderboard. Lots of burnt edges in this round. Clutch slider putt on the last to save par.  |

Got home earlier than expected - so played the first round today, which was a good round. Could have been a couple of strokes better to match @pakalolo77 - where I was very close with some putts.  |

Second round - not so good front nine - missed several putts and just couldn't get it going. Very solid and good back nine, finished with a 36 feet downhill 1 feet at the 18th.  |

Welcome back andersnm. Good shooting in your rounds here 👍 Played fairly decent to start in R2. But just wasn't quite focused on the back nine and lost complete feel with the short game. Ended on a good note with a birdie putt up the hill on the last.   |

That was exhausting. Started with par, birdie, birdie and felt I was in the hunt. Follows the leaderboard in game and was 2 ahead of andersnm with 5-6 holes left. Then he birdied 17 and 18 and we were tied. Now it got shaky, haha. A 6 foot putt slightly downhill for birdie on hte par 5 16th and it looked just from right from the front and just left from behind. That usually means straight, but it turned and that was my big chance to regain the solo lead. Found a fairway bunker on 17th, but a 5I left me with 17 feet uphill, but missed. A long LW with plenty of spin left me with a turning 14 footer uphill on the last. And the joy to see it drop... (Sorry for rambling on, haha)  Clubhouse lead on PC. Now is the right time for the sun to explode.  |

What a great course this is really enjoyed playing round 1, looks fantastic also. Strokeplay matchplay with andersnm and what a great match it turned out to be. I don't think I have ever struck the ball so well on this game and hit so many white perfect shots from driver to pitch, the long game was on so was frustrating to to not score better. Just 3 missed greens and one from landing in the middle of the green on a large slope. Hole 15 the closest I have come to an ace on this game, hit the pin full on and ended up on the very edge of the cup I could see the ball's shadow inside the hole, agonisingly close  . Great pick colly and thanks for setting this up really enjoying the courses On to round 2 match off with Anders  |
