I did not take a screenshots from my first two rounds this week - as I thought that it wasn't needed until next week… Paul can take screenshots if he uses my ghost on his rounds. No problem I'll get them. I didn't grab mine either. Ray covered me for round 1.. Maybe I can play local and use my round 2 ghost.. EDIT: Ghosted myself - the red line is my USE R2 card.. I think I beat al 2&1 based on his post for R2 in this week's thread..

So I understaand as I naven't played IRL for some time...
If HC is -1, that means I add 1 stroke to the #1 HC hole, and a +3 HC, I would subtract 1 stroke from HC holes 1, 2, and 3..
Did I get that right?

Did I get that right? Almost. Just work out the difference between you and them. If they’re on +5 and you’re on -4 it’s 9 different, so whoever was getting shots would get them on the 9 hardest holes (index 1-9 on the scorecard). If there’s only one shot difference in handicaps, the person getting the shot gets it on the hardest hole (index 1). If all else fails just post your card and let other people worry about it 👍

Anyone that isn't that clued up about handicaps (which is most of us). The stroke index is the most important thing when regarding your handicap in stableford compo's which most real societies play and also is used in matchplay. There are many different ways of determining handicap as different courses have different stroke ratings. We have a simply interface here of average score which I think works well. Basically your handicap is made up of your average 18 hole score from all of your USE rounds but rounded up to a single figure. So if you are a -2.5 up to a -3.4 your handicap will be rounded off to a -3. With team matchplay the 2 players handicaps will be added together and halved to get their team handicap. This is where the stroke index comes into play. The difference between the 2 teams handicaps is the amount of shots the lower handicap team or single player match gets on the hardest holes with the hardest stroke index hole being 1 and the easiest 18 . Strokeplay handicap is as simple as taking your handicap off your total to get your net score such as a 96 then take a 18 handicap off and you a have a net 78.

No problem mate. I think I lost to Tuffguts - I had -1 and he -4, and no horrendous holes. Wish there was a way to bring up the scorecards. Hm. Thinking about it - With hcp - that may not be the case.

Maybe if you play your round 1 ghost and I'll play your round 2 ghost.
